Here at Canada Iron we are currently paying some of the top prices in the incustry for your E-waste. In particular, recycled computers and computer parts are paying out tremendously high. For clean computer motherboards we are paying up to 2.50$/lb. Thats higher than the rest of the industry by up to 1$/lb. Now is the time to get rid of your old electronics!!

Here at Canada Iron we have seen a massive growth in the recycling of electronic waste over the last couple years. This has become big business for a lot of our regulars. We encourage everyone to recycle their electronics with us. You're wondering what you'll get in return? Believe it or not, your old electronics are actually with a pretty penny. If you have specific questions or need a quote give us a call anytime at 416-762-7351. We're happy to answer any questions you may have. And remember, we are open to the public 6 days a week. Monday through Friday 7:30am-5:00 pm and Saturdays 7:30am-12:00pm.

We accept basically all electronics. If you have something peculiar, give us a call before you come to make sure we can handle it. Some of the things we buy include TVS, Stereos, VCRS, Speakers, Cell Phones, Home Phones, Computer Towers, Computer Monitors, etc..

People often call us at Canada Iron asking for tips on ways to grow their scrap metal business. Scrap metal is no different than most businesses. If you want to grow, you need to develop good relationships with people in the industry, you need to put money into advertising and promoting your business and you need to service your customers fairly and efficiently.

These standards apply to every business. If you are just getting into the business however there are a few tips and tricks that can get you going for little to no money at all and set you off on the right track.

First things first, you need a way to haul the scrap. If you have a car and thats what you plan to use, be aware you will most likely ruin it. This is an expense you dont want to incur.

First Tip: Don't use a family car. You need a pick-up or at the very least a cargo van.

Assuming you have the van or tow, THE EASIEST WAY TO FIND FREE SCRAP METAL is by going on the free section on Craigslist and finding local people who are posting "curb alert" and putting out old appliances, electronics, miscallaneous scrap metal at the curb of their homes for anyone to come and take away.

Second Tip: Go on the Craigslist Free Section
